Role Overview:
As the Group Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities across our organisation. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies that align with our business objectives. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote work with in-office collaboration, providing flexibility while ensuring effective leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s growth objectives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasting. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks across the group, implementing effective controls to safeguard company assets.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources to meet business needs.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary financial point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Support the company’s growth strategy through the financial evaluation of potential acquisitions and mergers. Lead financial due diligence processes.
Qualifications:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally as a Finance Director or similar, within a multi-entity organization.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Excellent financial acumen with a strategic mindset.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience with M&A activities is highly desirable.
